The Chaska House & Cottages has been a family run small business for over thirty years.

Built in 1900, The Chaska main house reflects the Revival Style and attitude that flourished in turn-of-the-century Waxahachie when "Cotton was King." Texas Highways Magazine calls it "Victorian Splendor".

Guest Rooms and Cottage Suites are named after well-known authors with extensive decor and historic collections reflecting each author's lifestyle and works.

Waxahachie is located just 30 minutes south of Dallas and a 45 minute drive from DFW Airport.

We are located just a short stroll to historic Waxahachie's town square bustling with shops, restaurants and the magnificent courthouse that James Michener called "a fairy tale palace—one of the finest buildings in Texas".
